Our Pastor
Dr. Robert Norwood
Dr. Robert Norwood’s greatest desire is to stand strong through the power of the Holy Spirit and the word of God to proclaim a transformational gospel message that will empower God’s people to take back what the enemy has stolen from them and to prepare them to receive God’s blessings. Relentless in his vision and clear in his principles; Pastor Norwood is committed to share the joy of God’s love through dynamic worship experiences, authentic relationships, and service to God and humanity.
He has a passion for community involvement. During his previous assignment he worked closely with local and national officials to meet the needs of the community. Believing that all people are created equal; Dr. Norwood believes that we are our ‘brother’s keeper’; therefore, he believes that all believers are part of the body of Christ.
In 2008, he graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Ga. In August of 2023, he received his doctoral degree from Andrews University in Michigan. He is an international speaker, husband, and published author. His first book, “The Great Spiritual Reset: The Practice of Spiritual Disciplines for Spiritual Growth” can be purchases at Amazon.com.
Dr. Norwood’s vision is uncompromisingly clear, that we are called to advance the kingdom of God by empowering the people of God. He lives the great commission of Matthew 28:18-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”

what we believe
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a mainstream Protestant church with approximately 19 million members worldwide, including more than one million members in North America. The Seventh-day Adventist Church seeks to enhance quality of life for people everywhere and to let people know that Jesus is coming again soon.
Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father’s will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone.
When He returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day.
Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything—the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us—is part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.
